Below is the application procedure for registering for a food license in Uttar Pradesh.
The applicant has to log in to the official portal.
The applicant has to fill out Form B or the application required to be filled from the portal.
The applicant has to attach the documents stated in Annexure 2 of the Regulations, a self-attested declaration, and the applicable fee depending on the food category.
Once the application with the supporting documents is sent, the authority issues an Application ID number. This number can be used as a reference for future correspondence with the authority. The license will be issued within 60 days from the date of issuing the application ID number.
After issuing the application ID number, the Licensing Authority directs an officer to inspect the premises where the business is set up. This is followed as per the regulations that FSSAI prescribes. If there are any disagreements, the inspecting officer guides the necessary steps to be taken. The officer issues a notice for changes that have to be made on the premises to ensure that hygienic and sanitary conditions are maintained. These changes have to be taken within 30 days from the date of issuing the notice.
The Licensing Authority approves the license within a month from receiving the inspection report. This period excludes the time taken for compliance with feedback shared in the inspection report.
