How to register on Traces as a deductor ?


Steps for Registration on TRACES by Deductor

  1. Go to the TRACES website
  2. Click on ‘Register as New User
  3. Select ‘Deductor’ as type of User.
  4. Provide applicable details to register on TRACES as deductor as follows:

Fill out details on each step and click on submit to complete TRACES deductor registration.   

  1. On successful registration, activation link will be sent to registered email id and separate activation codes will be sent to registered email id and mobile number.
  2. Click on activation link and enter user id and activation codes.
  3. After activation, user can log in to TRACES.


TRACES Login Using Registered TAN

If a deductor has already registered on TAN (Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number), the following are key steps for TRACES Login:

  1. Login to TDS – CPC portal
  2. Click ‘Login’ to go to the login screen.
  3. Enter Login ID and Password i.e. TIN number and click on ‘Go’
  4. The login has only ‘Profile menu’ activated, click on Profile menu.
  5. Provide the details of the deductor such as PAN No., Date of birth, etc. and click on Submit.
  6. Confirm the detail in the confirmation screen and click on submit.
  7. On successful registration, activation link will be sent to registered email id and separate activation codes will be sent to registered email id and mobile number.
  8. Click on activation link and enter User Id and activation codes.
  9. After activation, the user can login to TRACES.
