DIR-3 KYC Application & for KYC of Directors
DIR-3-KYC is a new E-form has launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. This form will be used to update the KYC of all directors.
Certification/ verification of e-form DIR-3 KYC is done under provisions of Companies Act, 2013.
Accordingly, every Director who has allotted a DIN by or on 31 March 2018 and whose DIN is in approved status, will have to submit his KYC details to the MCA. While filing the form, the Unique Personal Mobile Number and Personal Email ID would have to be mandatorily indicated and would be duly verified by One Time Password (OTP). The form should be filed by every Director using his own DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) and should be duly certified by a practicing professional (CA/CS/CMA).

What is DIR 3 web based service?
DIN holder who has already submitted e-Form
DIR-3 KYC in any of the previous financial years and who does not require update
in any of his KYC details as submitted, may perform his annual KYC by accessing
DIR-3 KYC web service. No fee is payable up to the due date of each financial year.
After the due date, a fee of Rs.5000 shall be payable.
What is the last date of filing Form DIR-3 KYC?
For individuals who are holding DIN on 31st March, the last date for filing the form is on or before 30th September. Further individuals who acquired DIN after 31st March, they shall file Form DIR-3 KYC on or before 30th September, next year.
What is the penalty for non – filing of the e- form DIR-3 KYC or DIR-3 KYC-WEB after the due date?
There is no penalty for non-filing but a fee of Rs 5000/- shall be paid at the time of delayed filing of e- form DIR-3 KYC or DIR-3 KYC-Web.
